The discussions we posted on William Blake's poems, I didn't really look to, to deep for the meaning. I read them and wrote what I felt at that point. After writing my first essay on him I realized there is so much more to his poems and, looking up words in his poems really helped me understand them much better. Although this class consumes most of my time it is by far my favorite one yet. I really feel like I am learning something and getting a lot out of this class. My grammar class isn't coming along to well to many rules about nouns and such to remember. I have two history classes which was a huge mistake on my part. I can't remember who did what, where, when, or how. I am confusing the people, places, and times.
You know a lot of people will tell you they want to teach because they love kids. Although I do love kids I choose to teach because I had some really crappy teachers growing up. They hurt me more then helped me. Because of what I missed out on I know what to make sure each child in my class should get. I am hoping more people like me will weed out the people that really need replacing. I love to learn I just don't love being lost in any classes. Asking questions is definitely something I don't lack. :)

By any means am I a religious person. I believe in God and enjoy going to church, but these poems seem to be mostly linked with religion. I find it hard to point out the meanings a spirit, ghost, or ten commandments means in a poem. I don't know what the poet meant or how religion is all related. I don't even know those things for my own life. Although I have enjoyed our readings I wish they went beyond the whole religion thing. Lord Byron seems to take a step more into the romanticism time which is a nice change of paste. I just find it harder to relate to something read on a more religious level then any other.

When a person reads a poem the meaning that is interpreted is there own. They can make a conclusion of love, freedom, or hate having some type of relationship to it. But once the person reads someone else's out look on it or does research on the poet that wrote the poem it changes the way a person looks at it ever again.
I enjoyed reading the poems and coming to my own conclusions on William Blake's poems on Songs of the Innocent. Children were his main focus for each one. It seemed like he wanted the world to hear the cries of the children that most are to deaf to hear.
My classmates all had different ideas about the poems and at the same time were able to back up their theory's. I've never completely understood when a person writes a poem, why the message isn't always clear. At times it is hidden and difficult to see.
